The finalists have all been selected for the 4th Annual IEEE Standards Association Digital Telehealth Pitch Competition slated for 12 June, 2025 in Boston at the Evolution Conference powered by IEEE Life Members.

The hybrid live/virtual event engages digital innovators who are addressing today’s most pressing population health challenges with the use of remote care technologies. Each year the competition garners more than 40 groundbreaking early-stage innovation submissions from emerging stars in 20 or more countries.

The theme for the 2025 competition is “Aging Healthy Digital Innovation Challenge.”  Technologists, engineers, and developers of technologies that support the aging population with quantifiable outcomes were invited to submit their remote digital technologies in areas such as disease monitoring, nutrition management and personalized emotional and wellness support and monitoring.

Competitors will be evaluated on the three main areas of criteria: health care impact and direct outcomes supporting quality living; technology characteristics such as access, service delivery, patient and provider experience, network extensions, extensibility, adaptability and flexibility, interoperability; and governance in the areas of accessibility and inclusion programs, education, workforce development, compliance drivers, safeguards for privacy and security.

The winning innovation will receive a US$2,000 travel stipend to present live at an IEEE SA Digital Health Innovations Forum in 2025, promotion through various IEEE SA mediums and social channels, and other opportunities through appropriate IEEE societies and networks.
